My boyfriends xbox 360 has just decided to scratch all his games, Last night he was playing saints row 2, the game crashed and the console started making a funny noise, he took the disc out and there was a big deep scratch in the middle. It already done that to his old copy of the game. Today it happened again, he put his fifa 09 game in, and very carefully tried to move the console but it made the same noise again and did the same thing to that game. The console was flat on the floor as one time it scratched the disk when it was standing up straight. What is wrong with it? Why does it keep doing it? It costs a fortune to get the games replaced if they cant be fixed and its such a pain. Any ideas what the reason could be?

    • You’re not supposed to move a console while it’s on or when a disk is in first of all. It causes the lens to touch the disk which will scratch it even though he may think he’s moving it carefully or keeping it level. As for the other times, it’s because his lens is now unstable and will continue to scratch games because he moved it.

    • Yea, its like the Red Ring of Death but instead it scratches your games

    • you r not suppose to move the console while it is playing, i know it sux
